A NIGHT IN NEW ORLEANS

On my way to New Orleans from Mobile, Alabama. Two hours drive

The night at New Orleans downtown

At a flee market called French Market at downtown New Orleans.

These are among the photos shot during my visit to New Orleans in 1991.
I could not forget a very famous street in this town called Bourbon Street. It was kind of a quiet street during daytime where u could see not many people passing by. But when the night came, the area changed dramatically. The street became so crowded with people drinking, singing and laughing all night. It was really SCARY to walk thru the street with so many people got drunk.

There were also rows of strip clubs and discos along the street that offered .. YOU KNOW WHAT!. Many sorts of promotions U would find on their doors to draw people in, from a typical porno pictures to a woman's taunting leg which sudeenly came out over a small window sretching so far to a pedestrian walkway. U might bump your nose to it if u were not being careFUL enough...!I actually didn't expect that was how New Orleans life looked like before I went there...I was also quite suprised to find one arab guy who could do soveniour business for six years at a place like that. Ironically, that guy was so happy to meet us and even gave us FREE soveniours...!

You know what happened to our car on the way back to Mobile( we got M'sia friends who studied there)???? Its tyre got punched after hitting a hard object on the road. We were stranded at the deserted highway for more than two ours that night.. That was the MOST scary part of all......
